Does it work on any PDF?
Only PDFs with selectable embedded text work. Scanned documents without a text layer report zero counts because there is no text to extract.
What statistics are shown?
Word count, character count, and page count are reported for the whole document, with a per page breakdown for closer analysis.
Are counts accurate for tables and headers?
Text inside tables, headers, and footers is included in the count, so dense documents with repeated headers will reflect that content.
