FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about nepali unicode converter.

Which input modes are available?

Three: Preeti to Unicode, Kantipur to Unicode, and Roman to Devanagari. Pick the mode that matches your source text, paste the content, and convert.

Why does my converted text look wrong?

Usually the text was typed in a font that does not match the selected mode. Preeti text needs the Preeti mode, Kantipur text the Kantipur mode, and romanized text the Roman mode.

Is the output standard Unicode?

Yes. The result is proper Devanagari Unicode that renders on any modern device or editor without installing legacy Nepali fonts, and it can be copied or downloaded as a .txt file.

How do I type Nepali with a regular English keyboard?

Switch to the Roman mode and type the phonetic spelling of the word; the converter maps it to the correct Devanagari characters automatically.

Is my text private?

Yes. Conversion runs fully in your browser using the preeti-to-unicode library; your text is never uploaded or stored on any server.
